Meet Erik

Meet Erik, a Los Angeles native with a passion for real estate, technology, and investing. Born and raised in Palos Verdes, Erik has also lived and worked in various neighborhoods across the City of Angels, bringing with him a wealth of local knowledge and expertise.

With nearly a decade of experience in private equity and venture capital, Erik has worked at leading investment firms, including Fifth Wall, JMI Equity, and AVP. These firms manage a total of $15B of institutional capital and have invested in notable technology companies including Opendoor, Pacaso, Blend, Hippo, Lime, and others. Erik has personally deployed over $400M of growth capital into 50+ technology startups.

Recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30, Erik's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Potluck Ventures, a mission-driven venture capital that invests in AAPI-founded startups. His firm successfully launched a hybrid fund and SPV investment platform that has raised millions of dollars of equity from 100s investors and has invested in 15 leading startups to date.

Erik's love for real estate began with a quest for financial freedom, culminating in his journey with successful luxury home flips, development syndications, and long-term rental investments. In just three years of real estate investing, he achieved the first level of financial freedom, enabling him to fulfill his lifelong dream of traveling the world for a year, where he lived in 14 countries in 12 months. His belief in real estate as an individual’s most powerful path to wealth and financial freedom is unwavering, driving him to become a real estate agent to help others achieve their goals.

Erik also serves as the Global Expansion Advisor to GA Technologies, the #1 publicly traded Proptech company in Japan and owner of Renters Warehouse, one of the largest single-family rental property management and investment companies in the U.S. His involvement with institutional real estate owners/operators provides valuable and unique insights that help him guide his clients on how to best proactively navigate and invest in the ever-changing real estate landscape.

A graduate with Honors from Johns Hopkins University and a former NCAA All-American tennis player, Erik balances his professional pursuits with a passion for LA sports, Spikeball, travel, and volunteering.
